It was rainy so there wasn’t a huge crowded outside of the Pantheon when we passed by. We decided to go inside. The ceiling has a hole in it, so it was also somewhat raining inside.
We walked down Via del Corso. I poked my head in some shops. Vikram poked his arms in some jackets.
There’s an iconic plaza at the end of the street.
Gotta go at least once a day!
The afternoon was spent lazying around. We went to a few shops to look at souvenirs and then we went home to pack.
Our last meal was at Felice a Testaccio (our Airbnb host recommended the restaurant). The best part of the meal was the tonnarelli cacio e pepe (pepper and cheese noodles) which was prepared table side and is a typical Roman dish.
We went to Sant’Eustachio Il Caffè for the second time today. This time we went at midnight, hoping that the coffee would help us stay awake.
We sat on our roof terrace for a little bit. It was thundering about 10 miles away.
I stayed awake until 5 AM when we took a taxi to the airport. My flight home was at 8 AM.
